Zoé Beausire "Rosette, Mauricette et Roby" (18.09. - 12.10.2012)
In her first solo exhibition Zoé Beausire presents 4 photo series that, with regards to content as well as technique, make use of very different aspects. The two series “A travers champs“ and “Tremblement“ combine aesthetic images and graphic elements with spontaneous impressions and disturbing, sometimes even ironic details, that clash with conventional viewing habits of the recipient. The photo series „Rosette, Mauricette et Roby“ and „Huis clos“ document in a very empathetic and personal way the artist’s preoccupation with the process of aging and the resulting bodily and mental changes within the artist’s closest circle of family. Zoé Beausire studied photography at ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne. Her works show a clear reference to the Swiss photo school, that has generated a very own style of photography, influencing the contemporary photography enormously. In this tradition she creates very precise technical works, which open new visual worlds and extend the medium of documentary photography.
